    Scott J. Ash, EMHA, is a nationally registered paramedic, author, educator, and EMS consultant with more than 30 years of experience in emergency medical services. Based in Las Vegas, Nevada, he currently practices as a Paramedic in Las Vegas, Nevada, and has held a broad range of clinical and leadership roles, including Field Training Officer and Emergency Department Paramedic.<\/span><\/p>

    Scott\u2019s professional background spans prehospital and in-hospital advanced life support, EMS operations and leadership, regulatory compliance and performance consulting, and healthcare policy and program development. His work bridges street-level clinical practice with system-level analysis, with a particular focus on clinical reasoning, system accountability, workforce development, and evidence-informed practice in prehospital medicine.<\/span><\/p>

    He holds an Executive master\u2019s in healthcare administration from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, along with academic degrees in paramedic medicine, psychology, and liberal arts. Scott has contributed to EMS research initiatives, including the UNLV\u2013EMS evaluation of the Emergency Triage, Treat, and Transport (ET3) program and Mobile Integrated Healthcare models.<\/span><\/p>

    An active contributor to professional literature, Scott has authored, edited, and peer-reviewed EMS-focused publications, including work published in the Journal of Emergency Medical Services (JEMS). He has also provided subject-matter consultation to professional and educational organizations within emergency medicine, including JEMS. As an educator, he has served as an adjunct instructor in emergency medicine and as a long-standing mentor to EMS students and practicing clinicians.<\/span><\/p>

    His career reflects a sustained commitment to advancing patient care, strengthening EMS systems, and elevating paramedicine as a clinical profession.<\/span><\/p>
