“I gravitate to all things heaven-bound, and I believe every part of my life should bring glory to God and be a witness to others.”
Hello! My name is Kerin and I gravitate to all things heaven-bound. A believer that every part of my life should bring glory and honor to God as well as being a witness to others, I’ve surrendered every part of my life to Him to do what He pleases. And He has definitely surprised me with a few requests along the way. For example, in 2001 God called me to go back to school for an education degree when I was in my mid-forties. So I worked hard and graduated from Penn State, magna cum laude, securing a position at a Christian elementary school where I still teach today.
I’ve been a writer for most of my life, and many of the books I’m now publishing have been pulled out of the treasure box, dusted off, and revamped. Paper Halo was 30 years in the making, but it’s not late. On the contrary, I believe this is God’s perfect timing for this stage in my life.
For the past 45 years, alongside writing, I’ve enjoyed various forms of artwork, illustrating, and cartooning. As an active member of the First Church of God, I teach Adult Sunday School and am involved in children’s and women’s ministries. Having the privilege to preach at various churches as a lay minister, and to speak at Christian conferences, is just icing on the cake. God has definitely kept me busy.
My handsome husband, Denny, and I have been married for almost fifty years, and we have two amazing sons. They, along with their beautiful wives, have given us eight incredible grandchildren. We are blessed. Praise be to God!
Between the classroom, the church, and the drawing table, there’s rarely a dull moment — and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
