July
Julius Caesar & Jupiter
The ruler and the king of the gods
July takes its name from Julius Caesar, the powerful Roman dictator, born on the 12th or 13th of July, 100 B.C. After his death, the month of his birth was renamed in his honour.
Around 87–84 B.C. Caesar was appointed Flamen Dialis, the High Priest of Jupiter (Zeus), king of the Olympian gods. For a time he was, in effect, Jupiter’s representative on Earth.
