Sea, storm and the trident

November comes from novem, nine: the ninth month of the old ten-month year, now the eleventh. Its match is Neptune (Poseidon), god of the sea, winds, storms and waters, who could also move the ocean floor with his Trident to cause earthquakes and eruptions.

Because water and the elements stand for emotion and spiritual connection, some link Neptune with dreams, imagination, creativity, intuition and unpredictability. Chaotic by nature, he could be a protector or a destroyer, the source of beautiful things or of devastation.
